 TyreSafe inviting participants for tyre safety campaign

TyreSafe, with the enthusiastic support of tyre manufacturers and retailers, is organising a national tyre safety initiative, the first in the tyre industry for many years. The Tyre Safety Month, which will span October 2007, has the principal aim of making motorists aware of the safety implications of maintaining the correct tyre pressures, whilst promoting the added benefits of reduced fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
The campaign is being fronted by respected motoring journalist and Channel 5 Fifth Gear presenter Vicki Butler‑Henderson. The month long initiative will feature a major media relations campaign supported by local advertising by key tyre retailers and extensive use of radio, including a discussion programme on TalkSport radio channel, together with editorial in key consumer motoring magazines and regional newspapers.
