 Kumho Achieves 'Excellent' Rating in Major German Tyre Test

 Proving that the safest tyres are not necessarily the most expensive, the Kumho ECSTA SPT KU31 was rated as ‘excellent’ in a recent tyre test conducted by respected German motoring magazine Auto Bild – the same ranking that was accorded to premium products from Continental, Bridgestone and Dunlop.
Offering a notably good price/performance ratio, the tyre’s most outstanding qualities were said to include:
- Stable and safe road performance
- Comfortable steering dynamics in both wet and dry conditions
- Short braking distances on dry ground
- Low noise
When it came to such endurance tests as hitting the kerb, driving with low tyre pressures or vehicle overload, the 205/55R16 V size ECSTA SPT proved to be much more resistant than is required by ECE legislation.
