 KUMHO TYRE (UK) signs five year agreement with Micheldever

KUMHO TYRE (UK) has signed a five year agreement with Micheldever Tyre Services under which the Hampshire based tyre distributor becomes the exclusive distributor of KUMHO brand car, 4x4 and van tyres in Great Britain.
The agreement was signed by H S Lee, president of KUMHO TIRE Europe GmbH, and Paul Fox, chief executive officer of Micheldever Tyre Services Ltd.
The agreement marks the culmination of a successful nine-year association between the two companies. Over the last three years, they have been jointly developing the Ecsta Performance Centre (EPC) programme which is now the largest and fastest-growing independent tyre retailer network in the UK serviced by a nationwide distributor. The network is expected to peak at around 450 during 2007. The EPC programme supports the dealer members by including a significant investment in training, web development, sales staff, customer workshops and marketing including advertising, mailshots and point of sale support.
According to Paul Fox, chief executive, Micheldever Tyres: 'This agreement reinforces the long-term commitment of both companies to the UK tyre industry. Kumho's product range is exceptional and continues to grow in quality and performance, now incorporating the latest 'runflat' technology. Steve Tidmarsh, managing director, KUMHO TYRE (UK) said: 'UK sales have grown dramatically since 2002.
