 KUMHO debuts red smoke drifting tyre

 KUMHO TYRES has notched up another first: a tyre that produces red smoke. A special version of KUMHO's ECSTA MX ultra high performance road and track day tyre, known as the ECSTA MX-C made its public debut with Enjuku Racing at the Formula Drift event at Road Atlanta in the US in May.
The ECSTA MX-C was initially developed at the KUMHO American Technical Center in Akron, Ohio where the company's scientists found the right mix of chemicals to make red smoke and, following successful testing, a limited number of the new tyres were made.
Now the MX-C looks set to take the UK drifting scene by storm after UK drifting champion Brett Castle and drifting guru Phil Morrison demonstrated the tyres to the press and customers at Rockingham Motor Speedway in July. |
