gets lucky in nationwide KUMHO Win a Car competition

Peterborough DJ Lee Hoggett, aka DJ String, was the lucky winner of a £20,000 Hyundai Coupe in a nationwide competition organised by KUMHO.
 Lee was presented with his fabulous prize in December by Steve Tidmarsh, executive director of KUMHO Tyre (UK) at the ECSTA Performance Centre where he originally entered the draw, Huntingdon Performance Tyres of Godmanchester. The car, a top-of-the-range 2.7 litre V6 model was fitted with 18" Mille Miglia EV-R alloy wheels.
When Lee was first informed of the win he believed he was the victim of a hoax: 'I was convinced it was a wind-up. I was just outside my flat at the time and I kept expecting Jeremy Beadle to jump out from behind a lamp post.
'I've entered quite a few competitions but never won anything and it was only when I arrived at the presentation that I truly realised I'd won,' continued Lee, who as DJ String plays anything from Hard House to Break Beat in Peterborough's top clubs.
Lee's winning coupon was drawn from thousands sent in by motorists throughout the country in response to KUMHO's Win a Car competition which ran for six months at all 200 members of its network of ECSTA Performance Centres. The draw was also promoted heavily in top motoring magazine MAX POWER.
Mark Dunn of Huntingdon Performance Tyres commented: 'This competition generated a huge amount of interest amongst our customers and really helped to promote the KUMHO brand. Lee was one of many new customers who have come to us via the dealer locator on the KUMHO web site after reading about the competition in Max Power and other magazines.'
Congratulating Lee on his win, KUMHO's Steve Tidmarsh commented: 'We were so pleased with the success of Win a Car that we've decided to do it again in 2005, but with a rather different top prize.
