Tires has donated over 3,000 tyres worth around $100,000 to Iran to
aid recovery in the earthquake-torn region.
The aid package was presented to the Iranian ambassador to South Korea, Mr Mozafarri by the newly appointed president of Kumho Tires, Dr Sae-Chul Oh in January at the Iranian Embassy in Seoul.
At the presentation Dr Oh said: "We extend our support and friendship to the people of Iran who have been affected by this terrible earthquake and hope that they will soon be able to recover from the tragedy and return to normal life."
The tyres, which comprise the major passenger and 4x4 sizes currently used in Iran, are scheduled to arrive in February.
Kumho Tires is one of the largest suppliers of car tyres in Iran which is the company’s second largest market in the Middle East. |
