president for Kumho

 Dr
Sae-Chul Oh has been appointed president and CEO of Kumho Tire Co,
Inc. Dr Oh took up his new position on 2nd January 2004, following
the retirement of Mr Shin.
Dr Oh joined Kumho in 1974 after graduating from Jun-Nam university with a degree in chemical engineering. In 1996 he was awarded a doctorate in high polymer engineering and became a vice-president of Kumho Tires the following year. In 2000 he became senior vice-president of the Tire Division of Kumho Industrial Co. Ltd., responsible for R&D and manufacturing.
Soon after becoming president, Dr Oh underlined Kumho Tires’ commitment to future growth: first through the development of more high value-added products and services; secondly by consistent investment in technology, particularly in environment-friendly products and finally through continuing to listen to and meet the needs of customers.
Dr Oh commented: "Kumho has become the 9th largest tyre manufacturer in the world through the determination and spirit of its employees at every level throughout its 40 years’ history.
"More than anything else I now feel a great responsibility to take a step further, and, in doing so, leave Kumho Tires in even better shape to pass on to the next generation." |
