Kumho's
Ecsta KH11 has again beaten off major opposition in a tyre test, this time by leading German magazine Auto Bild.
In the test, using a Ford Mondeo fitted with benchmark 205/55R16
size tyres, Kumho finished in the top four, just behind Pirelli,
Bridgestone and Continental and well ahead of several other well-known
brands including Michelin and Goodyear.
The Ecsta KH11 scored consistently well in all the key handling and
braking tests, achieving its strongest performance in the aquaplaning
and dry handling disciplines. In their summary, Auto Bild described
the KH11 as the surprise of the test and remarked that the tyre "showed
no weaknesses in any of the safety-related tests and offers good performance
at a very reasonable price - something that many more costly brands
can only dream of."
The Auto Bild test result comes just months after the KH11's top
three showing in Auto Express magazine's giant test and confirms
the new tyre as one of the most consistent performers in the high
performance sector of the European tyre market.
Kumho UK's managing director, JM Kim, was delighted with the result:
"This proves beyond doubt that our products are more than a match
for the best in the market. Motorists are already becoming familiar
with the brand through our achievements in motorsport and impressive
test results of this kind make it much easier for us to communicate
the quality of our road tyre products to them." |
