A hat trick for KUMHO at the Tempest

Will NicholsKUMHO backed drivers stole the show at the Tempest Rally in November, the final round of the 2005 British Rally Championship.

Will Nichols took the overall win in his KUMHO tyred Subaru Impreza, despite losing 5th gear several stage from the finish.

"If you had asked me at the start of the rally where I would like to finish, I would have said anywhere in the top five," said a delighted Nichols at the end of the rally. "This has been a career best for me, and I only put the entry in at the beginning of the week."

Barry ClarkThe series final also produced two new national rally champions for KUMHO. Fifth place was all that Barry Clark needed to clinch the prestigious Production Cup while Lorna Smith became Ladies Champion for the second year running: "I was wishing the end would hurry up in that last stage," said Clark, “halfway through I was thinking it would never end. We did what we had to do today, we picked up the pace when we needed to and backed off when we had to. It’s been a great end to the season for the Eddie Stobart team."

And to cap a very successful event, ITV’s F1 motor racing pundit, Tony Jardine, returned to the driver's seat with KUMHO support at the wheel of a Peugeot 206 rally car and "had an absolute ball!"
